Many people get confused about the difference between a bath and body wash and a bath and body oil. Believe it or not, they perform completely different functions. However, when used together, they can perform wonders for your skin.
Let’s break it down.
A bath and body wash is meant to cleanse the skin of dirt, sweat, and the oily secretion of your sebaceous glands. They are water-based and prevent the skin from over-drying. These washes are usually the first step in bathing, followed by shampoo, conditioner, and other products you may use.
Bath and body oils, on the other hand, are meant to lock in moisture and hydrate/soften the skin. The ingredients in the oils, such as jojoba and rosehip, form a protective barrier on the skin's surface to prevent water loss. Unlike washes, these oils are meant to be applied directly after bathing to trap water while your skin is still damp.
Here is a list of ways one can use both products together:
-
Use the bath & body oil to remove makeup, then use the bath & body wash to clean your face of any remnants/leftover particles
-
Use the bath & body wash to clean your hands, then the bath & body oil to hydrate the cuticles, which are more difficult to focus in on
-
Use the bath & body wash in the shower to clean yourself, then the bath & body oil immediately after showering to trap the water on the surface of your damp skin
Body washes and oils perform unique functions that when put together, create a spectacular nourishment for the skin. Both products are available on our website and guaranteed to make your skin softer, more hydrated, and cleaner.
Stay Sunny, everyone.
